“Gun Commando” is a First Person Shooter with a classic Shoot ‘em Up feel, the two genres combining to create a unique and action packed environment, with elements as bullet hells, bullet dodging and over-the-top weaponry.
For this project I did;
- sound design; Creating all the sound effects for monsters, guns, footsteps, interface, environments etc. I also did some voice acting, recording one-liners and manipulated them to sound like a “bad-ass marine”. The sound needed to have a bit of a retro feel, so they’re mostly “in your face” and “Larger than life”.
- music editing; I edited music to loop nicely in the game.
- composing; For the cut-scenes some additional short music was needed. Check the music category section to listen to some examples.
